Miss Pierson competed with five finalists, from local schools, in activities, community service, grades, personal achievements, and an essay competition to be selected as The Exchange Club of Macon’s Youth of the Year.

The professors who graded the essays wrote, “Miss Pierson’s essay was thoughtful, with sophisticated sentence structure and strong control of metaphor. This was a powerful, well-focused essay.”
Miss Pierson will receive a $500 scholarship from The Exchange Club of Macon and she will be entered into the District, then National competition. Congratulations, Stephanie! You are an amazing young lady.
